Boating on the lake
For peaceful exertion head to the lake for a late afternoon paddle. The house will assist in the ‘portage’ of the canoes.
We’ve two traditional custom built wooden canoes at Bougainvillea – ideal for messing about on the lake. We recommend early morning or late afternoon as best time for an excursion.
We’ll pack a hamper with tea and other sustenance. Depending on the level of the water In the lake / reservoir, little islands emerge as perfect landing grounds for high tea.
