Playing host over the years to several talented wandering chefs we’ve evolved our menus at Bougainvillea to go a little beyond the delicious staples of Sri Lankan cuisine.

Those still make up of a good part of our rotating menus - with Sri Lankan curries featuring most evenings - but expect, also, the likes of:

Pan Seared Thalapath with Cauliflower Green Curry, Roasted Cauliflower Florets, Pickled Cauliflower Stems, Deep Fried Cauliflower Leaves

Pan Seared Mullet, with Beetroot Puree, Sauteed Beetroot Leaves,Pickled Lotus Root, Lotus Root Chips

Dining pool-side

We proudly boast one of the finest dining views in Sri Lanka with most meals taken out on the front terrace, overlooking the pool, garden and lake beyond.

If the monsoon rains arrive head indoors, fireside.

Time at the bar

You can't escape the sense that Bougainvillea was built for good times. The Logstrup Bar, helpfully within easy reach of the pool, epitomises that joie de vivre.

Epicentre for sundowners, afternoon cocktails, late evening 'consultations'.
